This week on my podcast, Unleashing Happiness, I spoke about the true power your daily choices have. The episode really encourages you to look at the choices you are making in a new light and with more awareness.
Regardless of whether you follow the Law of Attraction, the Law of Assumption, or are simply focused on personal development, it all comes down to how you respond to the external world. Everything begins within.
When you learn to control your moods, not deny your emotions but truly choose your reactions, you start to expand. This is when you create a life you love and manifest what you desire.
Manifestation isn’t about denying your reality; it’s about choosing faith in something you may not see yet. From my own experiences and the stories you’ve shared with me, I’ve seen that the more often you control your moods and redirect your thoughts, the more you change your life.
Instead of unconsciously falling into whatever feelings pop up, you consciously decide how to react, what to dwell on, and how to behave. This is how you embody the person you want to be and manifest the life you want.
Every choice we make either moves us toward our desires or creates self-imposed limitations. Imagine you’re at a fork in the road - let’s say you want love in your life. On one path, you pick up your phone to scroll through Instagram, checking if your ex is out with someone else. This is a choice you’ve made repeatedly, and it hasn’t brought you closer to the loving relationship you want. On the other path, you focus on yourself - engaging in hobbies, nurturing your inner joy, and reflecting on how you treat yourself and others.
Which path aligns with the love and relationship you desire?
You see, every choice you decide on sends out a vibration. If your energy is rooted in desperation, that’s what you’ll attract. But if your energy is rooted in feeling loved and cherished, you’ll attract more of that.
The world mirrors your inner beliefs. Recently, I’ve been reading Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss, and it’s been amazing.
One powerful quote from the book says, “Every choice we make contributes a subtle current of our energy to our universe, which is responsive to the influence of human consciousness. Managing the power of choice with all its creative and spiritual implications is the essence of the human experience.”
This reminds us that every choice is a creative act, shaping the version of ourselves we’re becoming. Are you choosing to move toward what you want, or are you giving your power to what you don’t want?
I’ll be honest: I’ve struggled with this in my own life. For example, I’ve had relationships where I can see my patterns clearly. Sometimes things work beautifully, and other times they fall apart because of my choices and where I’m placing my attention. This isn’t always easy, but acknowledging these patterns is the first step. You’re not alone in this; we’re all navigating similar challenges.
If you’re struggling in any area, whether it’s relationships, work, or self-growth, look at the choices you’re making. Where are you placing your energy?
As Caroline Myss writes, “We are physical beings and energy beings. Since the physical world cannot be controlled, the task before us is to master our inner responses to the external world: our thoughts and emotions.”
Our energy shapes the world we experience. It influences how we view ourselves, treat others, and interpret the events around us. You can’t control every aspect of life, but you can control your reactions. For example, I used to do techniques obsessively, hoping for a specific outcome. I thought if I just “got it right,” I could control everything. But true transformation comes from controlling your emotions and staying focused on your inner world.
The book also highlights that “The non-physical world of divine energy has more authority than the physical world of form and matter.” Your choices—and the energy behind them—carry immense power. Are your choices aligning with the person you want to become, or are they in opposition?
Creating a life you love doesn’t require a special technique. It’s about making intentional choices every day. It is how you start your morning, how you spend your time, how you speak to yourself and others. These small, deliberate changes are what build the life you want.
If you’re ready to dive deeper into this process, I’m thrilled to announce a new course launching on February 10th: Manage Your Moods: Your Guide to Creating a Life You Love. This course is designed to help you master your emotional reactions and stay focused on your goals. Registration opens on January 31, 2025.
I hope this inspires you to make choices that align with your dreams and helps you take steps toward a life you truly love.
