Let's chat about something absolutely crucial to your manifestation journey – mastering your moods and disciplining your mind.
Why Your Mindset Matters So Much
Have you ever noticed how your day completely shifts based on where your thoughts are dwelling? That's not a coincidence! Whether you're working toward manifesting a specific person, dream job, financial abundance, or simply feeling more confident in your own skin, your ability to manage your emotional state is the hidden superpower behind it all.
Let me tell you - I used to get completely derailed whenever something in my external reality didn't match my desires. One little setback and I'd find myself having inner conversations that were completely off from the outcome I wanted.
Now for some good news.
This is just a habit. And like any habit, it can be changed with conscious effort and the right guidance.
Learning from the Masters
Emmet Fox talks about this in his 7-Day Mental Diet (which he warns is one of the hardest things you'll ever do!). He explains that what you feed your mind is actually more important than what you feed your body. The mental diet involves paying close attention to your thoughts and consciously choosing not to dwell on anything that doesn't align with the person you want to be.
Neville Goddard teaches something similar in "The Law and the Promise." He talks specifically about moods and the importance of not getting thrown off track by external circumstances. Instead, he encourages remaining deeply focused on your desired outcome, regardless of what appears to be happening around you.
What Does "Disciplining Your Mind" Actually Mean?
It sounds intense, but disciplining your mind simply means making conscious choices about where you place your attention and which behaviors you continue. Our minds are naturally wired to focus on potential problems, it is quite literally a survival mechanism! But manifestation requires redirecting that focus toward your desired outcome instead.
The beautiful thing is that this doesn't have to be complicated or feel like a battle. The more you practice, the more natural it becomes.
Two Powerful Questions to Ask Yourself This Week
"If I were the version of me who already has this desire fulfilled, what would that version of me be like?"Instead of focusing on what the manifestation looks like, focus on who YOU are when you're living that reality. How do you carry yourself? What values do you embody? How do you speak to yourself?
"Am I acting out of fear or faith?" Before making decisions or taking action, pause and check your motivation. For example, if you're manifesting a specific person and feel compelled to check their social media, ask yourself: "Am I doing this from a place of faith in my desired outcome, or from fear?" Being honest with yourself here is key to breaking old patterns.
Starting Your Own Mental Diet
This week, I invite you to join me in starting a mental diet. Begin by asking yourself those two questions throughout your day. When you catch yourself in a mental argument or spiraling into worry, gently ask: "Is this thought pattern coming from faith or fear?"
The version of you that already has everything you desire operates from faith, not fear. They trust in the process. They remain steady despite external appearances. They know their worth and their power.
And guess what? That version of you isn't some distant future self - they're already within you, waiting to be embodied through your conscious choice of where you place your attention.
